Janice Parker is a paralegal in Carico Johnson Toomey’s Litigation department. With nearly a decade of experience as a paralegal working for small to mid-size firms, Ms. Parker’s knowledge and keen familiarity with a range of practice areas provides advanced support to the attorneys. She handles a broad scope of work, including interviewing clients and Court Clerks both in person and on the phone; drafting complaints/answers and motions to trial briefs; witnessing Court hearings to obtain information for the attorneys; filing pleadings and pulling case files from the Court Clerk; assisting with the drafting of pleadings and documents; and completing legal research assignments.

Ms. Parker has had exposure and experience in most areas of business law, including appellate, bankruptcy, business litigation, business organizations, civil litigation, collections, corporate, estate planning, probate, banking and finance, family law, mutual funds, real estate, unlawful detainers, claims and litigation for title insurers and underwritten title companies, and elder law.

Ms. Parker received her Legal Assisting Certificate at Pasadena City College, one of the preeminent Legal Assisting training programs in California. She obtained her American Bar Approved, Associate of Science Degree from Rio Hondo College in Whittier, California. Ms. Parker served as a tutor to fellow students while attending both colleges.
